Fuel Handling Systems
SCW Bio-Energy Products offers advanced boiler systems equipped with automated fuel feeding solutions—either a hydraulically operated Walking Floor Fuel Supply or a Silo Feeding System.
Fuel Handling Systems
SCW Bio-Energy Products boiler systems need to be equipped with an automatic fuel feeding system. These can be either a fully equipped hydraulically operated Walking Floor Fuel Supply system or the Silo feeding system.
Each of our systems can be equipped with any of the three fuel handling options that SCW offers, providing tailored solutions for wood pellets, wood chips, oat hulls, and other biomass materials.
Our hydraulically operated walking floor systems are engineered for durability and can withstand the high forces encountered during continuous operation, delivering reliable and efficient fuel handling in even the most demanding conditions.
3 fuel handling options:
1. Permanent walking floor systems
Walking floors consist of a series of raised metal slats, mounted on runners, and actuated in sequence to the next slat in line. This creates a “walking” motion, pushing woodchip along the floor on this ladder of raised slats to a discharge conveyor at the end of the store. Actuation is typically a combination of hydraulic and mechanical.

2. Portable floor systems
Each unit seamlessly connects to any of our systems with a simple, plug-and-play setup for quick integration. Designed for easy loading with either small skid steer or large loader.
This solution is commonly used with our biomass grain drying systems, providing a reliable and adaptable fuel handling option.
Hydraulics Operated
Hydraulics are operated and automated and integrated into the boiler or furnace control system.

Our Systems only use Environmentally friendly Biomass fuels.

Wood chips
Wood chips offer the advantage over logs. Easily form uniform flow to be fed automatically into a boiler. Making them suitable for larger boilers.

Pellets
Wood pellets are a clean, free flowing form of woodfuel that can be delivered by tanker through a hose and allow a fully automatic heating system.

Biomass briquettes
Briquettes are similar to wood pellets, but physically larger. Sizes vary but briquettes can vary in diameter from around 50 mm to 100 mm or more.

Logs and firewood
Simplest & most traditional form of fuel is firewood logs. The only processing required is drying and cutting to a size that to convenient for your boiler.
