Community Heating
Helping Many commuties save money by switching to BIO-Mass
Across towns, villages, and housing developments, more communities are turning to biomass district heating as a practical way to cut energy costs and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. By centralizing heat production and distributing it through insulated underground piping, communities benefit from lower heating bills, stable fuel pricing, and a renewable energy source that supports the local economy. At SCW Bio-Energy Products, we’ve seen firsthand how switching to biomass helps communities save money year after year while building a cleaner, more sustainable future.

Introduction / What is Community Heating?
-
Community heating (also called district heating) is a system where one central biomass boiler plant provides heat to multiple buildings through a shared hot water network.
SCW Bio-Energy Products offers scalable biomass boiler systems designed to deliver consistent, low-emission heat to entire communities—without the high costs and environmental impact of traditional fuel sources.

Hot Water Distributing
This project showcases the installation of 8” pre-insulated piping, designed for district heating applications. The pipes are fused together on site and placed into the prepared trench, ready to be buried for long-term performance.
At this location, we installed an 8” PPR main line leading to a centralized under groung Vault. From there, all buildings on the site will be connected using smaller distribution piping, creating a reliable and highly efficient community heating network.
