500,000 to 27 million BTU.
Sized to your job.
Hot water systems in four size bands, plus steam, grain drying and forced air. Every one runs on our chain grate stoker and our own controls. Pick the band that fits, or send us your heating bill and we size it for you.
The lineup at a glance
Four hot water size bands. The exact model comes out of your heating bill and your fuel; ratings for every standard model are further down.
Pictures sized to output, not to the inch. Boiler HP is approximate (1 HP ≈ 33,475 BTU/hr).
Hot water systems, by size
Most of our systems are hot water. They tie into your existing heating loop, dryer coil or process, and your old boiler stays as backup.

Up to 2.5 million BTUShops, schools, single barns, small greenhouses
Our smallest hot water systems. One boiler heats a shop, a school, a single barn or a small greenhouse from a hopper or small fuel bin. Same chain grate, same controls as the big ones.
Standard models: CGS-154, CGS-277, CGS-345 (1 to 2.4 million BTU). Smaller built to order. See ratings →

2.5 to 7.5 million BTUHog and poultry barns, colony yards, mid-size greenhouses
The band most farms and mid-size greenhouses land in. One boiler, fed from a hopper or a walking floor fuel building, carries the barns or the greenhouse range.
Standard models: CGS-500, CGS-563, CGS-662, CGS-750, CGS-993 (3.1 to 6.7 million BTU) See ratings →

7.5 to 15 million BTULarge greenhouses, hospitals, colonies, plants
One plant for a whole yard — barns, shops, homes and a greenhouse on a buried hot water loop — or a large greenhouse range or public building. Fed by a walking floor that moves the whole pile to the augers.
Standard models: CGS-1157, CGS-1323, CGS-1654, CGS-1985, CGS-2315 (7.5 to 15 million BTU) See ratings →

15 to 27 million BTUSawmills, process plants, district heat
Our largest hot water systems. Sawmills burning their own waste, process plants, district heat and the biggest greenhouse ranges. Often two boilers off one walking floor, so one can be serviced while the other runs.
Standard models: CGS-2645, CGS-3075 (16.7 and 20.1 million BTU). Bigger built to order. See ratings →
Steam, grain drying and hot air
Same chain grate stoker, same controls — a different way to deliver the heat.

Steam boilers
Process steam and high-temperature heat. Shown: an oat processing plant in Manitoba making its steam from its own hulls.
Steam boilers →
Biomass grain dryers
Clean hot air ducted into the grain dryer you already own. Propane stays as backup.
Grain dryers →Forced air systems
Warm, dry air for hog and poultry barns from the same chain grate. Pre-production — get on the list.
Forced air →Side by side

Hot water up to 30 psi and 250°F, or low-pressure steam up to 15 psi. Low fire is the lowest steady output; the controls turn the boiler down this far before they hold fire. Ratings for wood chips at 50% moisture, about 85% efficiency. Sizes and weights are approximate; you get a layout drawing with your quote. High-pressure steam vessels are ordered per job.
Every system comes with
- Chain grate stoker with the Intertek mark, built in Headingley
- Automatic ash removal and automatic soot blowers
- SCW controls with remote monitoring, written in-house
- Boiler vessel with CSA and ASME marks
- Metered feed that matches your heat demand
- On-site service and parts after the sale
